The Together Project is a national charity bringing people of all ages together through music, creativity and shared experiences. From babies and toddlers to older people living in care settings, our programmes create moments of joy that reduce loneliness and strengthen communities.

As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we’re looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help guide our next chapter.

At a glance

  • Role: Trustee (Strategic Volunteer)

  • Time: Quarterly meetings + light ongoing support

  • Location: Mostly online, occasional London meetings

  • Commitment: Minimum 3 years

  • Expenses: Reasonable expenses covered

Why become a Trustee with us?

Our Trustees play a vital role in shaping the future of a small but ambitious charity. You’ll help ensure we remain well-governed, financially sustainable and true to our values. All while supporting work that genuinely changes lives.

This is a voluntary, unpaid role, but one rich in purpose, connection and impact.


Who we’re looking for

We’re currently seeking Trustees with experience or interest in:

  • Finance & Treasurer responsibilities

  • Risk, governance or safeguarding

  • Communications, fundraising or partnerships

  • Digital, data or systems

  • Community engagement or lived experience of loneliness, care or intergenerational connection

You don’t need previous trustee experience. If you care about connection, community and creativity, we’d love to hear from you.

We particularly welcome applications from people who are currently under-represented on our Board, including men, people under 30 or over 60, and those with lived experience related to our work.

What’s involved?

  • Quarterly Board meetings (2.5 hours, a mix of online and London-based)

  • An annual strategy day

  • Occasional ad-hoc support or advice

  • Additional time for specific roles (e.g. Treasurer or Risk & Governance)

We ask Trustees to commit to a minimum of three years.
