Who We Are
We are proud to be a charity (1192175) focused on connecting people from different generations and across different walks of life.
We run several programmes to boost wellbeing, reduce loneliness, and foster stronger, happier communities, with a current focus on children, their parents/carers, and older people in care homes and independent living schemes.
The Role
We’re looking for a Community Support Volunteer to start in January 2026 to help connect hundreds of children and older adults nationwide. This is a unique opportunity to use your skills for good and have a truly positive impact on the lives of people across the country. As a small team, we all pitch in and support each other on various tasks as needed. Your willingness to help out wherever needed will be greatly appreciated.
Below are of some of the things you might expect to do while you are with us:
Creating Crafting Connections packs filled with handmade artwork and crafting goodies
Opening the post, carrying out safeguarding checks, and photographing artwork
Communicating with care settings and service users involved in our programmes by phone and email
Conducting general research into Crafting Connections themes/creating Pinterest boards
Assist in keeping our programmes running smoothly and assist with reporting by monitoring our online booking system and entering data on spreadsheets

Accuracy/Attention to detail - Essential for creating project packs.
Collaborative and a good communicator - Responds to emails, speaks on the phone with warmth and professionalism, and enjoys working with other team members.

Time Commitment & Location
We’re looking for someone who can come to our lovely Walthamstow office (10 mins walk from Blackhorse Road tube) 1 day a week.
