Meet Hillary!

We’re shining a spotlight on our wonderful new volunteer, Hillary!

Hillary lives in Walthamstow and brings an incredible mix of talents, from teaching statistics with a keen eye for language and imagery to dabbling in stand-up comedy about science and the quirks of the human mind!

She’s a lover of nature, hiking, cycling, and occasionally taming the wild overgrowth in her garden. She also finds great joy in meditation—often combined with dancing! Her love for 5 Rhythms dance allows her to move freely in a group, connecting through music and motion.

Fun fact

Hillary has a unique musical talent—she sings classical Indian raga music while playing the tanpura, a beautiful stringed drone instrument. 🎵🎻 How amazing is that?

Why did she join our small but perfectly formed team?

Because she’s found joy in life and wants to share it. Having experienced tough times, she now embraces happiness and connection. She loves singing, she loves children, and she believes in the magic of bringing generations together.

Welcome, Hillary! We’re so lucky to have you. If you spot her at a session, say hi—and maybe even ask her about her love for statistics or her favourite song, Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Us Peace).
