Intergenerational Christmas Joy at 17&Central

This festive season, The Together Project is spreading connection and joy through the magic of music. On Friday, 13th December, from 10.45 to 11.15 am, the sound of intergenerational singing will fill 17&Central Shopping Centre in Walthamstow, bringing festive cheer to everyone who stops by.

The magic of intergenerational singing

Our Intergenerational Christmas Choir is a heartwarming collaboration between school children from Roger Ascham Primary School (aged 7–11) and residents from three local care homes. Together, they’ll sing a mix of classic carols and 60s favourites, demonstrating how music can create connections and bring people of all ages together.

At The Together Project, we’re passionate about fostering joyful intergenerational experiences. Events like these not only spread festive cheer but also reduce loneliness, build stronger communities, and create lasting memories for everyone involved.

Why you should join us

Whether you’re a parent or guardian, a family member, or simply in need of a festive pick-me-up, this performance is sure to brighten your day. Intergenerational singing is about so much more than the music—it’s about shared moments, smiles, and a sense of togetherness that makes the festive season so special.

  • A deligtful mix of Christmas songs and 60s hits to get you in the spirit.

  • An uplifting experience full of joy, laughter, and community connection.

  • A reminder of the true magic of the festive season: bringing people together.
