Bringing joyful moments to life: Our partnership with My Life Films

At The Together Project, we’re always searching for ways to enhance the wellbeing and happiness of older people living in care homes and retirement housing, and our partnership with My Life Films is a truly exciting step towards that goal. Together, we’re helping bring the joy of our Songs & Smiles sessions to even more people in a new way—through My Life TV.

Songs & Smiles on My Life TV

For anyone who has attended or hosted our intergenerational Songs & Smiles sessions, you know just how magical they can be. Smiling babies, joyful toddlers, and engaging songs can transform a room. We’re thrilled to now bring that special energy to My Life TV, filmed right from one of our very own sessions at George Mason Lodge in Waltham Forest. These sessions are designed to bring people together, bridge generations, and combat loneliness in a way that feels natural and joyous.

Rachel Addley, Executive Director at My Life Films, perfectly captures the impact of Songs & Smiles:

“With wonderful uplifting and familiar singalongs, Songs & Smiles is fantastic programming for people living with dementia as it uses the power of music and connection, alongside the playful energy from the children to spark recognition, communication, and joy.”

How this partnership benefits care settings

Our collaboration with My Life Films means care homes subscribed to My Life TV can bring the mood-boosting effects of Songs & Smiles to even more residents. This kind of joyful, intergenerational content can be especially transformative for people living with dementia, helping improve mood, quality of life, and care, while reducing agitation and feelings of isolation. By simply turning on Songs & Smiles, care setting staff can add a meaningful, feel-good experience to their residents’ daily routine.

Join the movement: Uplifting wellbeing for all

If you’re a care home manager or activity coordinator, consider subscribing to My Life TV to bring Songs & Smiles to your residents. It’s a heartwarming addition that will uplift everyone in the room.
