We’re proud to be partnering with HARIBO UK, a brand which seeks to bring people together and celebrate moments of childlike happiness, whose support is helping us create intergenerational joy and meaningful connections to more communities across the UK. This time, in West Yorkshire, where HARIBO has been based for over 50 years.

Through this unique partnership, which was launched in March 2025 to mark UN International Day of Happiness, HARIBO UK is supporting Songs & Smiles, our programme of intergenerational music, fun and friendship – while also giving their employees the chance to get involved in a meaningful way.

Nominate a local care home

As part of the engagement programme, HARIBO colleagues were invited to nominate local care homes that could benefit from joining the Songs & Smiles family. Staff were encouraged to think about care homes they had a personal connection with – perhaps where a loved one lived, or one in their local community. The response was incredible, with dozens of heartfelt nominations submitted and reviewed by The Together Project.

From these, six care homes were chosen to host joyful weekly sessions filled with singing, bubbles, togetherness and childlike happiness – made possible by the power of local knowledge and employee passion.

And the partnership doesn’t stop there

HARIBO colleagues also take part in regular team fundraising events – from inflatable obstacle courses to city runs – building team spirit while raising vital funds to support intergenerational connection in their communities.
